The Last Good Bye

The trees are swaying back and forth as the wind whisper to my ears. Cold breeze touch my cheeks, freezing my tears.

I close my eyes and feel the ticking of the clock. It sounds like the beating of my heart.

I’m in the middle of nowhere. My head swarming with thoughts of the dead. Nothingness.

"What if I die within this minute?" I’m not yet prepared.

"What if someone I care for die within this minute?" That I can’t bear.

The sun is going down, the stars and the moon are starting to glow. I don’t know when will be my end. Nobody knows for sure.

Let this be my last good bye. So that when I die, I leave something behind.
